Pewag chains - made in Austria - are used as standard in the construction of snow chains for trucks. In order to extend their service life (the chains are constantly subjected to abrasion under the wheels), the chains are surface hardened to the value of 750HV. It is the sophisticated technique of surface hardening the metal that makes it resistant to cuts by hand-held devices, such as pliers.
VIRO padlocks - made in Italy - work perfectly with pewag chains. The internal padlock mechanism is protected by a one-piece body. The main pin of the padlock is "secured" with links - difficult to cut - chains. The thief would first have to overcome the difficult-to-breach links in order to then be able to attack the pin of the padlock. This is what distinguishes VIRO padlocks from standard padlocks with an arched clasp (whose exposed shackle is directly exposed to the attack of a thief).
The pewag panzer bicycle and motorcycle locks are available in standard lengths of 1000-3000mm. On special orders, we are able to provide - as the only one on the market - anti-theft security devices with non-standard lengths of 3-15 meters.
