These chains can be mounted on drive wheels as well as front axle wheels. The special design of the side mesh of the chains allows them to be mounted on both the outer and inner wheels of twin tires.

Pewag “Norwegian” chains with spikes in a dense 8 mm version have a running mesh made of twisted links with a diameter of 8.0 mm with welded spikes and, depending on the size of the chains, from 24 to 27 cross sections. The side chain is made of 8.0 mm diameter wire, and the bent clips are made of 9.5 mm diameter wire. The dense running mesh equipped with spikes ensures increased traction during operation in difficult conditions.

All pewag Norwegian chains are equipped with spikes with a wavy profile using star-stud™ technology. The hardened surface of the spike with a wavy surface is 5% larger, ensuring a longer service life for the chains.
