Pewag “Norwegian” chains with spikes are recommended by Norwegian transport companies.

Twisted links with heated spikes provide excellent traction on icy Scandinavian roads. Their relatively low weight makes them quick and easy to install and remove. Pewag “Norwegian” chains with spikes are characterized by the fact that the side parts of the mesh are located high on both sides of the tire, just below the shoulder. This chain design allows two single chains to be mounted on twin wheels, which is not possible with standard diamond chains.

All pewag “Norwegian” chains are equipped with spikes with a wavy profile using star-stud™ technology. The hardened surface of the spike with a wavy surface is 5% larger, thus ensuring a longer service life for the chains.

The running mesh in the standard version of the chains is made of 7.0 mm diameter links and has 15 to 18 cross sections in its design, depending on the size of the chains. The side chain is made of 6.0 mm diameter wire, and the bent clips are made of 8.0 mm diameter wire.
